New Idaho Member - drake2h - 04-01-2009 Hi Everyone. Fairly new to Idaho (Boise) and just found the site. Love fishing and have a small boat so I'm eager to learn about fishing the area. Fly or Spin? I grew up in Boise (technically in Eagle) and just recently moved over to the opposite side of the state. There is incredible fishing all over Idaho. Frankly, I just like to fish, regardless of the tackle. I'm more comfortable with the spinning gear, but do break out the flyrod once in a while. Although I like to explore the rivers, I do have a small boat and like to chase bass, walleye, trout, catfish, you name it in the lakes and reservoirs. Any suggestions are welcome!
