It's always worth packing a rod aolng even f you don't use it.[ ![]() [signature] Re: [idahopanfish] Bruneau Dunes Ponds - kansasrockchalk - 04-10-2009 Thanks, rod was a given...guess that was my way of asking. Where abouts on CJ from the banks could I take my kidos for some crappie fishing? Have only fished below CJ, if anyone wants to PM me that would be great. However there might be some caught by cottonwood campground on the Bruneau arm. There is a store in Bruneau, The Fishin Hole, that might have more current info. [/quote] One of my favorite bait shops. I have stopped in many times on my regular sturgeon outings to CJ. Be aware that I have never spoken to the owner and had him say that the catching was poor. Every time I have spoken to him he has reported that the fishing is at least good if not great (LOL). Go to the side by the Air Force ramp (north), take the road down by the side of the dam (not below the dam) and fish by the white dumpster.'Mallows and n.c., or power bait. If you have any questions, ask the camp hostess in the trailer by the Idaho Power rest rooms right there. She always has good advice, and can help you. They are also catching fish on top of the dam. The trout bite is an early morning one. Good luck. Mike [signature] |
