Got some time off in early may. was wondering what the ice condition was? i'm hoping its gone. with all these late storms i'm not sure. any help would be appreciated

A fishing buddy told me today that he fished it on Saturday and there was some open water but he only found enough to fish in front of Fish Creek. He said the ice was rotten (unsafe to try to ice fish), so I am sure it is going fast. That said, boats are not allowed on Fish Lake until all of the ice is gone.

Talked to Gary from Fishlake Lodge today and he said that the ice finally broke up last night and now it is free floating and just waiting on the wind and warm weather to remove it from the lake. Kent you are 100% correct on the lake closed to boats of any kind (float tube included), until every bit of ice is clear.
