The wife was going to be gone yesterday afternoon and I called up TR20bh and he was interested in going. He also had talked to JF to see if he was interested and he went with us for a couple of hours. We fished mostly the nuke/Soddy area, an area that I didn't know well but we really got into fish! We started on a deep dock and had a couple but it seemed that someone had beaten them to death there all day before we got there. We then fished brush in the 6-10 foot range and started loading the boat. Lots of doubles and maybe even a triple or two. TR20 will have to tell you how many keepers we kept but I would expect more than 20. Most of the fish were caught at a 4-10 count but we did fish over some brush in the 12 foot range with good fish at a 20 count. It was fun "playing the game" trying to get down to the brush and not get hung in it. We did get hung a bunch as we were prospecting new areas. We may have had a couple of TARP fish but most were in the 10-13 inch range. Lots of fun! We did fish for bass for a few minutes at the end of the day but only caught a few. Thanks for the great trip TR20bh! How late were you up cleaning fish? We only fished Panfish assassins today. I did switch to a 1/16oz jig for a short while when the wind was really stiff but I didn't get as many bites. Often the wind was blowing so big a bow in the line that the only way to know there was a fish was there was it seemed like you were over a limb and the line was just a bit too tight. Setting the hook with that big a bow was a joy too but it worked out okay. TR20 may have taken a pic when he got home but I left mine at home as the rain came and went a few times when we were out there.
