New to Swan Valley - tsn - 05-10-2009

Thanks to everyone who gave their input on where to fish.
I have found alot of info on flies for the rivers. How about lures for the lakes. PaliSades and Ririe seem to be the closest. Any other advise?

usually i try to keep secrets but since your new,i fished this weekend at palaSades res.and we were using #7 rapalas deep, about 30 feet,if you dont have a boat, get one.i was fishing about 50 feet out from shore trolling.make sure you get out there early the fishing slowed way down at about 11 o clock.

They were most likly usin a down rigger. That is how i would get down there. or usin a deep runnin lure but those only can get down so far. the down rigger takes you down to any depth that you want to get to.

I know Rapalas are popular at PaliSades but I don't fish that one much. Ririe on the other hand I can help some. If you're after trout I recomend panther martins 1/4oz size in holographics or silver blade colors. For kokes I like a small micro pop gear with a wedding ring trailer w/ either corn or worm pieces and troll with that. If you're after bass I usually use a Mr. Twister curly tail grub with a 1/4 oz jig head. Although I have caught all of the above on others, these seem to be most productive for me.
