really dirty/coudy water... - IvanM1 - 05-27-2009

Okay so the nearest spot for fishing happens to be a local park pond with lots of water fowl. So from the water fowl, fish poo, and dirty people littering the water is extremely muggy.

How do fish, hunt in these waters? (search for eats) At this point is it by smell?, can they miraculously still see?, do they feel the ripples smaller fish make?, etc etc... I just don't get it cause I saw some guys using some worms (plastic) and well to me it was like yeah if I were in there I wouldn't be able to see the tip of my nose. Plus it was like 9TongueM (No more sunlight) lol.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated this will definitely help my fishing :-) [fishin]

Hi there.

I would recommend the Cabelas brand GLO-WORMS

They are made to have a slight glow to them which fish can see, plus they smell god awful, but they work great,

and on top of all that, they are on sale in the Cabelas Bargain cave online for $1.99 for a pack of 10.

Good luck

The fish can still smell when their sight is inhibited. Night fishing, especially in murky waters will generally require scent. The fish can smell certain scents better than what is already around them.[cool]

Fish hunt by smell as well as hearing the bait. A shadow is all they need.

Fishing live bait will also give you a good edge in those conditions.
