LOUISIANA FISHING EXPEDITIONS: Hopedale Report
The big trout were hungry early this morning as my group of four put together a mess of trout in the 2lb to 5lb range at our first stop. After an hour the bite slowed down so they wanted some redfish and I made one more move and we were having four hook ups at a time. Ken and company had a blast catching redfish after redfish until there arms were sore. The action was unbelievable fast and furious. Twelve pound test line for redfish weighing anywhere from 8 to 20 lbs. They also hooked a couple of big jacks that they battled for a long time but only to have them make the great escape. They all said they can't wait for a return trip. I still have some days open in July and the fishing is only going to get better.
