Big Tujunga Creek - mwatknz - 06-19-2009

I'm planning on going fishing at big tujunga creek next week, and was wondering what kind of fish I should be expecting. I am fairly new to fishing, I've never been on my own.
Also I am comprising a list of essentials for my tackle box.
This is what I have so far:
Hooks, needlenose pliers, knife, sinkers, and plastic worms. Do I need anything else?

Hi and welcome to BigFishTackle.

If you are talking about the Big Tujunga Creek that I know in SoCal, then you came to the right place.

Big Tujung Creek will usually have planed Rainbow Trout in it. Vary rarely can you find some of the native or even holdover Trout in there since that area gets a lot of fishing pressure.

Power bait and Blue Fox's seem to be the best in there. You may do ok on small Red Worms on a #14 Mosquito hook. Be sure to place a 1/4oz split shot sinker about 18 inches up the line from the hook.[cool]
