Smallie on the fly. - santravler - 06-27-2009 Float tubed the Jordanelle this morning, walked down the old road on the free(north) side. Caught one on a darkgreen wooly booger and had a few bites. some dudes pulled up in a boat and started flipping flys along the weed line, one of them landed a 2# smallie on gold (wooly). I caught mine on an olive zonker. Lots and lots of boats on the water and people on the shore. [signature] Re: [TheOtherSide] Smallie on the fly. - flygoddess - 06-29-2009 Right On guys. Funny how different flies work on different LOCAL waters. Jordanelle, a Purple Showgirl and a Green Matuka with a red head worked on the Smallies. On Rockport I used a basic PERCH pattern or a fly with the colors of a Perch. HOWEVER, Zug Bugs worked great at both places. [signature] |
