Utah Lake - sewfish - 06-28-2009 Decided to give Utah Lake a try. It usually isn't very nice to me. Got on the Lake about 8:30. It's tough to get up early on your day off. Wanted to try bottom bouncers for the eyes, so we trolled and trolled, and trolled. Finally got a hit and it was a nice channel cat. Then I got into a big one, line stripping and the works, only to get it to the boat and have it a carp. Oh well, atleast I wasn't skunked. Switched over to gigs and got a nice 20 inch walleye, and a white bass. Then another monster cat that broke off at the boat, taking everything with him. Atleast we got to see it. Caught a mud cat while anchored and bait fishing. Seemed really slow for us but a great day as there wasn"t much wind and not that many boaters. It is a Reel Bait Red Tail Walleye Flasher with a Kalin 3" lunker grub in the smoke copper/ salt and pepper curly tail jig. This is the first year we have tried the Reel Bait Jigs and we really like them. [signature] Re: [sewfish] Utah Lake - schfifty5iv - 06-28-2009 wow man that is a good looking white bass [signature] |
