drumking, chickamauga, Crappie and bass, 7/02/09, Foodsaver - FishNews - 07-03-2009 I had a rare day for me today. I had two people scheduled to go with me. 2jigs was scheduled for 6:15 til 8:00 AM and Foodsaver was scheduled for 8:30 til "hot". 2jigs called at 5:30 and had to bail out. Sick youngster, so I let him off the hook and went topwater fishing by myself for just a little while. I caught 12 bass on a topwater lure between 6:55 and 7:30. At 7:00 AM, I called Foodsaver and told him to come early. He said that it would be about 30 minutes. He showed up and we went crappie fishing.

The bass that I caught were schoolies, the largest being 17 inches long, another one over 15 and the others pushing 14-15 inches. I was smack dab in the middle of Harrison Bay. The fish were chasing bait and I was just lucky enough to be sitting right in the middle. The fish came up all around me for 30 minutes off and on. They were knocking the pop n image 2 feet into the air at times. I don't know how many blowups that I missed, but it was fun while it lasted. Foodsaver called when he was close and I just quit and went to pick him up at the ramp.

|
