shsimons, Wisconsin, muskey, 7-24, 7-25, Dad - FishNews - 07-30-2009 Fishing was tough, to say the least. I casted, we trolled, drug around suckers, and the fish, even the pike, did not want to cooperate. Maybe it's the dog days of summer.<br /><br />My dad caught his biggest ever smallie at 21 inches on a sucker, and he also caught his first ever muskey when we were trolling. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to reel one in.<br /><br />1 1/2 yrs ago dad nearly died of a heart attack, and I can't describe how much it means to me to still get to spend time with him. I guess that really keeps things in perspective for me, as the fish will be long forgotten in the years to come, but never Dad.<br /><br />Sorry if me being a little corny offends some of you, ha.
