How's the action up on Cascade Lake? - BorntoFish01 - 08-21-2009

Haven't made a trip there thus far and was wondering whether it might be worth a trip with the boat in tow next week.

Haven't heard anything on Cascade but it seldom lets me down. Better than a day at work. [fishon]

Let us know how you do.

Well, I guess I got my answer. Spoke to "Tackle Tom" and it sounds like it's been very slow...probably due to warm water temps. He suggested, unless things change, waiting til September or October when it cools down and catching usually picks up.

"Work" is a nasty 4-letter word no longer in my vocabulary.....thank goodness for retirement. [Wink][fishin]

I hear ya on that nasty four letter word. Not in my vocabulary either. [laugh]

The last time I was there was the middle of July and bass fishing was good from 6 to 8 AM. After that pretty much nothing. It should improve by the middle of Sept. I probably won't go back up until then to do some Grouse hunting and fishing.

Good probability I won't make it to Cascade this fall since my road trips will probably be centered on the Clearwater/Snake Rivers and B-run steelhead.

I talked to a guy who was fishing 5" Senkos in July and he said it was good at the begging of July. Probably doesn't help now.

The wife and I just went there yesterday and I had heard the fishing was slow. So I just threw on a worm and a bobber to see if I could catch anything while I ate my lunch. Well after about 10 minutes I pulled this guy in.

I don't have a scale so I don't know how much he weighed in at. Any guesses?

My guess is 4lb, but it depends on how many inches he is its hard to tell.
