[#000000]KILGORE, TX--Skeeter Boats recently announced it awarded five $1,000 scholarships to children of Skeeter boat owners in the first year of the "Skeeter Scholars Program." [/#000000][/size][/font]

Benton, Kentucky; Valerie Baker of Mesquite, Texas; Shelley Hanaver of Corydon, Indiana; and James McCarty of Overland Park, Kansas.[/size][/#000000][/font]
[font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][#000000][size 2]The program is open to any child of an owner of a warranty-registered Skeeter boat, and the scholarships are available for use by any higher education institution including universities, community colleges and vocational/technical schools. The program examines academics, student leadership and extra-curricular activities within and outside the classroom. Applicants are screened by a panel of educators. [/size][/#000000][/font]
