Nice pictures, I was surprised to see that the bull still had velvet, the bulls I saw last week were all hard horned except the spike bulls. Usually when I get elk or moose that close to my camera they smear the lense by licking it or spin my camera around the tree on the strap. At first I thought it was some body screwing with it but I have had this happen several times in different locations and it's always just after I get a good close up. They are sure fun to play with though.

Thats pretty funny they come right up to the camera specially since I spray it real good with my Dead down wind spray before I leave? and my camera has the infared so I know they can't see the flash when its taking there picture? They have moved my camera a little but not much cause I have it cinched down good with my cable lock and strap! I'm still wanting a cat picture or bear something real neat if I ever stick something I'll use my gut pile and place my camera by that....

I have never had a bear or a cat come to my trail cameras, I do use a certain attractant that I figured would draw bear to my trail cams but the only thing that has responded to it is deer, elk and moose. I usually pull my cameras a week or so before the hunt. We tend to get a few hunters in the area then and even though they are not expensive cameras I would still like to hang on to them. My cameras do have a flash but alot of times the animals are comming up and licking and moving them during daylight hours. I'm not sure that they don't pick up some kind of signal or something from the cameras with their senses maybe dealing with the motion sensor in the camera. Some guys I know put attractant on the camera to draw them up close, I quit doing that a couple years ago.

I'll throw a few on from earlier this summer, I didn't have my dates or times set right at all this year, another brain fart I guess.

Those are nice pictures! looks like you have a little secret Saddle that them animals like to go thru! I think its weird that we don't get bears and cats pic's on our cameras? we know there around there! I did find a bear cub skull right by one of my camera spots probably from the earlier winter or spring poor little guy[:/] But hope I get some cool pic's back next week I'm going back up for alittle more hunting.

We have plenty of bear and cats in the area we hunt, my grandson ran into a chocolate phased bear on our hunt there a week ago.

Chocolate! was it a big brute or just little one? how close did he get to the bear? I'm always thinking I'm going to stumble on one when I'm going to one of my stands early in the morning...scary

They were actually glassing for elk/deer from his truck when they rounded a curve and he was standing in the road, he never really said how big he was. I had a young chocolate bear hanging around one of the waterholes I had a stand in down there a couple years back, he was sure a pretty one. The only thing I have ever come across heading to one of my stands early was a big cat, scared the heck out of both of us. He had actually killed a young deer not too far from my stand, my son and I drug the carcass down the canyon a ways and dumped it in a ravine. I never saw the cat again, but one of our party had him come into one of our other waterholes a couple days later.
