Fishing the Texas rigged worm - SteveH - 08-31-2009 So I've learned to hook up a plastic bait texas style, but I remain ![]() Secondly, how do you actually hook a fish with the hook embedded in the plastic like that? Do you have to have a powerful hookset to drive the hook through the plastic and into the fishes mouth? Also, what areas would be best to work a texas rigged plastic worm? When you bring the hook point back to inbed it, just prick the tip into the worm. you don't have to bury it. I found that when retrieving it, I had the best luck with a slow steady retrieve. This works especially well with U tailed worms. As for the weeds, it happens to everyone man. If your not fishing the weeds, your not fishing the fish. -Tony [signature] |
