camping/fishing advice neer wahweep - Jedburton - 09-03-2009 I finally got enough of the stuff piled up done that I can do another fishing trip and my 75 year old uncle has been trying to get to powell for the stripers since early summer so I am taking him down there on the tues. after labor day (he has no desire to be on the lake with the craziness on monday and I don't blame him). He wants to pretty much camp and fish from tues through sat. and I am wondering if anyone has any advice on where to camp. We were thinking of just finding a place on the shore somewhere around warm creek, but I am not sure how that would work, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Neither one of us has much in the way of extra funds so roughing it is fine with us as long as we aren't going to get in trouble for it. Thanks for any info anyone is willing to impart. The regulations say you've got to have and use a porta potty, but that's no big deal. I read www.wayneswords.com to find a likely fishing spot, then camp on a nearby beach. That way you can fish early and late, which are often the most productive times.
