I had a good day fishing yesterday. I spent the morning exploring and went for bass around noon. The bass are still hitting deep along the drop offs in the main river especially near points (just look for the shad). I bass fished for two hours and landed plenty of nice ones. The picture is a 4 1/4 pounder that was almost 20 inches long. I had two largemouth over 4 pounds. The largest smallmouth was just under 3 1/2 pounds. All fish were caught from 17 to 20 feet deep trolling deep running crankbaits. The favorite color was fire tiger. It was a good day to be on the water.
