EricM, Return to the Chick, blue cats, 10-5-09, partner: the east wind - FishNews - 10-06-2009 Woke up this morning with an attitude - I was going to go fishing today, recent hernia surgery be, ah, darned!!!! I girded my loins for battle by putting on an athletic supporter purchased for just this occasion. Of course, after having put on the new device, I had to model it in front of the full-length mirror. I was expecting to see my face on the body of Ahhhnold Schwartzenegger, but instead was rewarded with the image of a squat sumo wrestler. Huh, must be one of those trick mirrors. EEEEEwwwwww!!!!!!

Maybe it was just a little more effort than I thought to pull the boat out of the garage and hook up, but nothing to worry about. Launching, however, was a bit trickier. Backed up slightly farther than normal so the boat would float a bit better off of the trailer and I wouldn't have to push it off like normal. Of course, this meant that I had to climb up onto the bumper of the Durango, but I had installed a handle onto the truck to make it easier to do this trick in the winter when the water drops emoIdea . Not too bad hauling my sumo butt up using mostly arm strength. Now a little shuffle step or two and I need to step down onto the ![]() |
