Do you have one or just getting one? Peter [signature] Re: [peter805] It's Here - flygoddess - 10-22-2009 They just barely came out so, I don't have one. Nice, but I don't need another rod. Now if my Zero or my T3 should break....I think I would request this as the replacement. Tough call as both my rods cost $645. so I would have to talk to Orvis about a serious replacement. I have no idea what changed on the T3 to make them drop the price. Mine was one of the first. I do expect equal value. What am I talking about...they aren't going to break![laugh] [signature] Re: [flygoddess] It's Here - macfly55 - 10-22-2009 I got this ad in an email this morning... awesome looking rod... MacFly [cool] [signature] Re: [flygoddess] It's Here - peter805 - 10-22-2009 Break ? You never know sister. One day you catch that 40 lb lake trout and its all over [] lol. Peter [signature] Re: [peter805] It's Here - flygoddess - 10-22-2009 I have seen 20 lbers landed with a 1 weight. All in the BUTT. Oh it could happen, but I tend to fight fish more with the butt. I have seen rods snap simply because the handler placed the free hand on the rod its self to pull up (not the cork but on the rod) Rod snapped right in front of his hand. (Andy Mills) The are made to fight from the cork. That is why Spey add to the cork. I did get a nice nick in my T3 on our trip from transporting on the trailer. Now that could snap at any time. I seen this two guys in float tubes fishing for bass (spinning rods) and both of them "extended" they rod handles by like a 18'' by adding some sort of foam and electrical tape. I was thinking - what a great way to have a big old bass break that rod.[] [signature] |
