Sculpin ??? - sinergy - 10-26-2009

Didn't have a hole lot of time today so I hit the weeb for a few hours. Flows are real low ankle deep in allot of places but did finds some nice holes stacked with 14 to 16 inch browns. At the end of the day did some experiementing and tied on a egg pattern I came up with. Its simple pattern yarn tied around a red bass bead. Caught a couple of small browns on it but managed to catch what I think is a Egg Sucking Sculpin ???

Never caught one these before Never even seen one before in the Weeb.

Sculpin for sure....how big? I found one on the bank of Strawberry that was about 6" long.
So now you need to try this fly:

or this one for the Big Guys:

Id say it was about 3 to 4 inches long those sculpin imitations are awesome I need really sit down and try tying some. Did you tie the front like a mudler and the back like a bugger ?

Absolutely, but the head is wide and flat like a sculpin. I think it is important, but could be just for me....[cool]

They are pretty easy to tie. I did one with wool instead of hair and it was really easy to tie.
