3wt TFO on order. - peter805 - 11-10-2009 I have the 5wt TFO Profesional and I really like that rod. So, I went and ordered the 3wt TFO proffesional from my local fly shop (Fishermans Spot). The owner Ken told me that when it comes in I can try it casting outside, in front of the shop and see how I like it. If I like it then great. If not, no big deal.He will just put it up for sale. It is the 7'6'' long rod. I want it for creeks and smaller green sunfish maybe bluegills in spring and summer. He also got the WF 3 F selective trout II line on sale for $30.00 that FG told me is a good line. I cant wait to go try that rod. Well Sage was more the $600+ price tag, but I still like the Medium action of the Pro. But there was also limited 10' 5 weights at the time I bought it. I probably still would have bought the Pro. I got out today on the Creek. Allot of over hanging trees so I prefer a 7'. The 2 weight would have been fine for the fish size, but the rod is a 7'9" and that nine inches can get in the way. So, it was the good ol' Trout Bum. Tried out my Sharkskin Trout 4 weight......LOVE IT! [signature] Re: [flygoddess] 3wt TFO on order. - macfly55 - 11-10-2009 nice... very nice sis... Since I already have a 6'-6" 2 wt I use for those waters, I'm eying a Grey's Streamflex 10' 3wt at the Fisherman's Spot. I plan to use it for various nymphing applications in more open areas, including some of the Czech and French styles I want to learn next year. Might even work on my tube for those fiesty bluegills. A little stiffer for those heavy Czech flies. [signature] Re: [peter805] 3wt TFO on order. - peter805 - 11-11-2009 Thank you everyone. I will report as soon as I have the rod tested out .
