Remember that you will need to troll slowly with this bait. Normally I use an Owner (hard to get) or Kalin saltwater bullet jigs 3/8 to 3/4 oz. Just like any bait if your trolling speed is to high the bait with tend to roll causing line twist. Doug Stangy,(Editor and Chief of In-Fisherman) has been writing about this jig and swimbait combo for well over 8yrs. It is an incredible fish catching tool for walleyes in shallow or deep water. I primarily use it for casting and caught some of my biggest Ohio walleyes and saugeyes on it. I have used a modified spin-harness with a keel wieght to get the rig down deep in late fall and winter.
