Fly Fishing anyone ??? - peter805 - 12-08-2009 So, anybody done any fly fishing lately ? I just been busy with work, which is great. Went to my local park couple of times to try out my new 3WT Sage. That thing is sooooo sweet. I casts by itself ! I really cant wait to take it fishing for actual fish [angelic].Im hoping to go to lower Owens river soon and put it to test. Got a bunch of smallies and a couple walleye on some flies I tied up. also got a small musky on spinning gear. A beautiful day and a nice hike, however, even my 2 weight was a bit much for the 6 fish I landed. I think a 0 wt, maybe even a 00 or 000 might have been better but I don't have one of those. I'm watching the weather and hope to do some lake fishing Friday if the rain has cleared out by then. I'll be hitting the Lower Owens January 9/10. Temps have been in the teens, and I don't like breaking ice out of guides every cast, so waiting for the snow to come and warm things up.
