Laundry Soap as cat bait? - cklvr - 02-27-2010

I heard those blocks of Tide soap you get at laundromats are good catfish bait? Anyone know for sure? Thanks for any info.

Would that be harmful to the fish though?

Cut bait works so well I don't know why a guy would want to try soap. Ron

I would think so. That is the reason I haven't just gone out and tried it. It just seemed so weird I wanted to ask if anyone else ever heard of it.

I'm starting to wonder if anyone really has tried it myself. Seems like it would be more harmful than beneficial.

It's not laundry soap it's LYE SOAP. Laundry soap doesn't contain anything that would attract fish.
