Not allowed to fish anymore - rw02kr43 - 05-03-2010 The lake I have fished at every day for 2 years suddenly says I'm not allowed to fish there anymore. It's a retention pond at my work. I would go there on breaks and lunches. Catch some bass and release. I never leave trash or hurt anything, but I guess now I can't fish there any more due to their insurance company. So, my fishing time is pretty much gone anymore. I think I might just give up on it. I really enjoyed it while it lasted. But time and laws just don't allow it any more I guess. [signature] Re: [albinotrout] Not allowed to fish anymore - rw02kr43 - 05-04-2010 really there aren't. All the other ponds and lakes around here are fenced or signed. Jason [signature] Re: [rw02kr43] Not allowed to fish anymore - albinotrout - 05-04-2010 That is too bad. Hopefully you will be able to find a new spot to fish.[:/] [signature] Re: [albinotrout] Not allowed to fish anymore - rw02kr43 - 05-04-2010 me too. It was nice to be able to go out on breaks and my half hour lunch. There is nothing else close to here I could get to. The lakes around home are all fenced or posted. So it's going to be a bit of a drive to fish anywhere. [signature] Re: [rw02kr43] Not allowed to fish anymore - Erawk - 05-21-2010 Most guys have to drive a ways to fish. Perhaps you were spoiled by such a convenient location. You'll be back. [] [signature] Re: [Erawk] Not allowed to fish anymore - albinotrout - 05-21-2010 That is true. Most decent places for me to fish at are at least one hour plus away. In fact, I actually travel each week 6 hours by train to a place that I fish. So yes I think you will be back.[cool] [signature] Re: [albinotrout] Not allowed to fish anymore - davetclown - 05-24-2010 do they let you bring your catch back on the train? [signature] Re: [davetclown] Not allowed to fish anymore - albinotrout - 05-24-2010 I catch and release. No place at hotel to put them.[] [signature] Re: [rw02kr43] Not allowed to fish anymore - Jakeskate - 05-24-2010 stick it to the man!!! probably going to be some consequences but i'd go anyway. i guess the most you'd face is a ticket or no? that truly is a bummer man!! [signature] Re: [rw02kr43] Not allowed to fish anymore - sawdustsavagw - 05-24-2010 That sucks. A few years ago an attorney bought some property I had fished since I was 16. That ended a 47 year love affair. Actually I could have continued to fish it. I could not have been denied the use to high water mark under the Title Navigatability Act. I fish for fun tho and not to bump heads so I will just have to keep the memories. I hope you find another place to fish. Please don't quit. You will miss too much pleasure and relaxation. I allways said you cant be worried by anything if youre totally concentrating on your hook.[fishin] [signature] |
