Memorial Day - PACKFAN - 05-27-2010
With the big weekend coming up and alot of people headed out fishing and camping over the hoilday I want to wish you all a safe weekend and hope the fishing is great where ever you go. I will probably just fish locally with maybe a day or two spent at Willard. Please remember to think of our men and women in the military and give thanks to them.[cool]

Thanks to our brave soldiers. They are the reason we can spend this long weekend chasing our own desires.
No fishing for me. I will be out in the west desert riding four wheelers and catching lizards with the youngins. ( and maybe blasting some bunnies)

It will be a great day for my family, My son returns from his deployment to afganistan , and will be here tomorrow. Makes this memorial day extra special. After he lost 2 of his marine buddy's over there and suffered an injured leg in a roadside bomb himself, I'm sur he's happy to be home to family, friends and his fiance. I hope to take him and his buddy's (will be staying with us) out fishing soon.

I hate fishing on holidays! I hate fighting water skiers, jet skiers, newbie fisherman.......o yea and at places like strawberry you can walk from one side to the other and not get your feet wet for all the boats...... no thanx I’m heading to strawberry on wed- fri next week, allot less people.

Thanks pacfan. I'm also at Willard. Had to stay close to feed the animals at home. I'm camping at the south marina. I'll be out on. The water here in about 30. I'm in a red and white skeeter fish and ski. Have a great weekend.

I thougt i would also just add.
Please remember to clean your tubes, or anything that floats. We know there is one lake forsure that has mussels. Please clean your boat no matter what (Even if you do know that the lake you are at does not have mussels. I dont want the mussels to spread and ruin the fun of fishing. Please keep your eyes pealed for anyone breaking the rules! Thanks!

Thank you foir the Military thought. I will share this with my son, an avid fisherman. He's a hard core Jarhead (lol), served Iraq 2 deployments and volunteered and is in Afghanistan. And he's only 8 years in. They do appreciate comments like on this thread and I thank everyone for them.
