fishing report below minadoka dam - drowning_flys - 07-01-2010

spend a few hours practicing rowing the drift boat and the wife fished. didn't catch a thing but the views were great. few fish feeding on the surface and had 2 large schools of carp roaming around the boat. wife almost had one as he took the fly then spit it out just as quick[crazy] This was my first opportunity to get behind the oars on a drift boat and all i can say wished i would have known sooner. rows 100 times easier than our pontoon boats and is going to make fishing so much more enjoyable [cool]
any way here is a few pic of some of the Highlights.

raccoon came down to see what was going on

Sounds like fun. Can you row up stream with that? The flow there didn't look like I could go up stream with the pontoon. Also did you drag any bait? Ron

yea it rows up stream great. I know i couldn't have in my pontoon. we put in on the ramp side and went over to bishops hole. where the current was really heavy i could oar up stream without much effort [cool] I would guess its because the back sits out of the water pretty far. I did forget my thermometer tho so i cant tell you what the water temperature was. we didn't drag any bait this time but im sure we will be back up there.
