New places and fish - hedgesd - 07-12-2010 After a beautiful week of rain and lightning it's back to the grind of life. I scratched several lakes of my list and two new fish, grayling and red side shiner. Started the trip with a short hike to see the view. [inline 104_2303r.JPG] Anybody know what this is? [inline 104_2308r.JPG] Flowers always distract me from fishing. [inline 104_2314r.JPG] Mallard nest. [inline 104_2316r.JPG] Grayling [inline 104_2319r.JPG] Ash though these fish were for her to play with. Wild OCD GSP. [inline 104_2323r.JPG] Long dorsal fin [inline 104_2324r.JPG] Maybe prettier then a brookie. [inline 104_2327r.JPG] Plenty of lakes with nothing but looked promising. [inline 104_2328r.JPG] Paintbrush [inline 104_2329r.JPG] Burnt orange mayfly [inline 104_2346r.JPG] CR cuts [inline 104_2349r.JPG] [inline 104_2351r.JPG] Sauna indian style. This would of felt good after many long miles. [inline 104_2353r.JPG] I'm exhausted but think it time to go fishing again. Fishing is fun[fishon] [signature] Re: [FOD] New places and fish - liv2hunt - 07-12-2010 Grayling are pretty fish!! Always fun to catch somthing a little different. The first grayling I caught in utah was by accident, I did not know they were in the lake I was fishing until I brought the fish in. Looks like a great trip w/ great pics. [signature] Re: [liv2hunt] New places and fish - hedgesd - 07-13-2010 These were the first Grayling I've caught. They were good fighters, straight to the bottom and always pulling. It would of been fun with a 3 weight. It was fun but there not big enough to rip some drag or chase every weekend. The 2-3 lb browns I caught in the Fremont river was a nice finish to the trip.
