I haven't tried it, but I think fishing from a tube at night would be a blast. -- and hopefully NO stinking WIND! Have you all ever noticed that wind is a four letter word? Since then I have found a way to put a clamp on navigation light on my toon. Also have head lamps.[cool] [signature] Re: [albinotrout] Nite Tubing.... - Quinterora8 - 08-08-2010 Tubing at night is fun. A headlamp would be a good idea. I have only fished at a local pond and had pretty good luck. Got tons of Tilapia on a bright orange rooster tail. Was trying to catch some walleye but no luck. Only down fall was that I was under attack by Bats until a big owl came out, but other than that it was Fun. Just get a headlamp that has different colors red works pretty good for the bugs. Just know the lake your fishing at. Re: [Quinterora8] Nite Tubing.... - idahoron - 08-09-2010 [inline 7-4-10-G.5.jpg]I have done it twice this year. Once for walleyes, perch, and bass. The other time was for catfish. Neither time was as productive as early morning and late evening. I did see some cool stuff and do some neat things at night. Spending the 4th of july in my toon was amazing. Ron [signature] Re: [cpierce] Nite Tubing.... - Bluegillman - 08-09-2010 A week ago I came up to a guy who lives a block from me is a float tuber. How I found that out is I live on a dead end street and have to go around the block and spot him unloading or getting ready to go float tubing. Talked about float tubing and he asked me if I wanted to come along with him night tubing which I did last week. Had a blast catching bass after bass and all those bass were 15 to 19 inches and I got 17 of them in three hours and he got 25. Said we would had gotten about 45 to 55 bass a night but it was kinda slow.... So I wanted to take my son along on a different lake and I thought we would do good as I did do that a year ago but last night wasn't the same.... We used top water lures as we can't use anything diving as too much weeds. Hope the pic aren't too big..... [signature] Re: [Bluegillman] Nite Tubing.... - peter805 - 08-09-2010 I have done it once. Tubing/fishing at nite is cool. Catching was not so good. Maybe will better next time[] I will do it again for sure and see what happens. Try it on full moon. That should be the best time. Peter [signature] Re: [peter805] Nite Tubing.... - albinotrout - 08-09-2010 When fishing for panfish use a lighted bobber as well. This will help increase hookups as well. Also cool to see little red light foating under water when pulled in.[cool] [signature] Re: [albinotrout] Nite Tubing.... - peter805 - 08-09-2010 [quote albinotrout]When fishing for panfish use a lighted bobber as well. I never had any luck catching bluegills after dark. I remember when I was a kid I used to be catching bluegills after bluegills all day then when it got dark it stopped then all I was catching bullheads after bullheads...... Red lighted bobbers....I gotta try that! I have lighted nocked arrows and they are fun to watch it fly to the target...
