Bass + mouse! - Leaky33 - 08-19-2010 I was kind of reluctant to post this because the big guy didn't look like it was released healthy, it was! This was yesterday trip to a S.E. Idaho Res. (Lake Z), name undisclosed to satisfy my fishing comrades. I caught 9 bass, 6 between 15 and 18 1/2 ", a 12 1/2 " perch and all in 4 hrs. Quit early because I just couldn't deal with the success I was having, doesn't make sense, does it??? That's the way I am. Didn't even make it to the area I wanted to target. Weird, isn't it? Fished from 11:30 till 3:30 and caught 9 with 6 being between 15 to 18 1/2 ". How do you like the guy with the mouse? When I caught him, he had this field mouse in his gullet with my hook thru the field mouse and a little bit in his gullet. Was able to release him and the mouse for another day. Here are just a couple of pics from the trip. That perch must have been thinking he was a bass too?? Lots of furry protein for bigger fish.[/#0000ff] [signature] |
