Favorite hooks and worm setups - MarineSpear - 08-19-2010 So I am just curious what some of the people on this site like when using work and hooks. I have always been curious if rubber powerbait worms are as effective as ngihtcrawlers? Are treble hooks more effective as single hooks? What are your favorite ways to put a nightcrawler on a hook. The answers to these questions will help future readers I believe. Though I have to admit it would help me as well ; ) I still cant find a way to string a worm that seems to look natural yet stay on the hook. Any imput is great :0 thanks [signature] Re: [MarineSpear] Favorite hooks and worm setups - FishKillr - 08-19-2010 I have always just used the standard #4 baitholder hooks with a worm threader to help me make it look more natural. Treb hooks have some good uses, but I always end up with a few in my gear, overall I like singles better. Although, For catfish Dough and other cat baits they are a must. Trout seem to like small natural pieces of worm and I have caught more covering the hook with 1/4 of a worm than balling a huge gob of worm on the hook. Good Luck N happy fisihing [signature] |
