Crime Rate UP - Lundman - 09-04-2010

Just to beat the proverbial dead horse.....

This week was busy for some - my neighbor had his house broke into and his jewelry and high $$ bino's were taken. My son actually saw the thief leave walking through the neighbors backyard and he was a very dark skinned guy, early 20's with a mustache and white t-shirt. The thief actual cook himself a meal in the neighbors house and went through everything and smoke a couple cigarettes while inside his house. The break-in happened at 11 am in broad daylight on Saturday morning. The Murray police upon responding to the report said that two other home in the neighborhood had similar break-in by a similar looking person.

Also I have a another friend who running a auto parts store had his Nissan parts truck stolen from his business on 7th East sometime on Sunday. He had parked the truck in the same location for several years and never had a problem.

And finally what the latest car thieves are doing - stealing brand new cars from dealers - striping the down to the frame - put the frame back a the street to be impounded and sold at auction. They buy the frame back and then rebuild the car with a clean title and take it to another state and sell. My source told me that a Dodge dealership in West Valley had 267 new vehicles stolen form them last year. Now for the rest of the story - police rented the shop across the street from the place where they were stripping the car and video taped and buster the bunch of car thieves. What was there punishment? Yup they all got deported because they were illegal's . Funny thing was within 24 hours of being sent back south of the border they returned and broke into the shop and got all their tools.

I asked the Murray Police what is the best alarm company to have - and he said it didn't matter to him because they are NOT dispatched to home alarms - they're are just to many false alarms and they don't send officers.

So here's my point!!! Times are hard!!! Protect your family, property, and friends. It's not going to get any better any time soon. We're all targets.

Take the extra time to make sure your stuff isn't an easy target.

Good luck and support a tough immigration BILL!!!

We have an alarm system & from what I hear from the cops, the only good thing about it is the sign out front.

I added a little thing of my own that the cops don't really like but I did it anyway. I put a little sign in every window that simply states: [#ff0000]THIS HOUSE & CONTENTS ARE INSURED BY 9 MM. [/#ff0000][#000000]I sure hope the bad guys believe it.[/#000000]

I once went to a house with a large sign in the window next to the door that read.

This house protected by a S&W 45! I will take my chances with 12 bleeding hearts on a jury before I give you my stuff!
