learning to bonefish - DaveD1701 - 09-14-2010

I am learning to bonefish. I went on one trip to Florida and caught several small bones last year. The guide supplied the gear and all went well. This trip I am going to Andros and need my own gear. I am thinking about a 7wt or 8wt rod and reel.

Any suggestions on the best overall rod size and a mid range (priced) rod and reel would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Dave

I have no business interest or affilation..but go to:

read the literature then call Dan at www.beartoothflyfishing.com

Dan is in the states and has a stellar rep...he will set you up with what you need and probably give you a list of rod/reel suppliers where you can purchase your own gear.

Just a side note...if you go to Andros you may not want to come back! [Smile]
