Has anyone been up to echo or east canyon for an ice check?

Went by Echo on I-80 yesterday, a little ice South(?) end where the Weber comes in, but doesn't look safe. The edge along freeway also has some ice out a couple hundred feet, but the only fishermen were over along the East side fishing open water.

I went and checked and fished by the dam for a spell. Caught a few in just an hour and then had to head to work. It looks like it will be a long time before this lake freezes over.
