fishinvol, Carters, Spots, 12-10-10, Alone - FishNews - 12-11-2010
Got to the lake right at sunrise this morning. Headed up river to fish some new areas. Immidiately put two chunky 2lbs spots in the boat on a float n fly. It got really slow after that for a couple hours. I gave up on the fnf and went to a football jig. That caught me quite a few 2 and a quarter lbers( with 2 solid 3lbers mixed in) . While I chunked my jig I was also watching my graph for suspended fish to dropshot. Caught a dozen or so doing that ( nothing over 2lbs). About 3:30 I headed to a nice shady area I like to fish. Throw my fnf around for a while. Caught another 3lber and my last fish of the day was a beautiful 5.10lb spot. What was crazy , was there were three others following her to the boat and everyone of them were quite a bit bigger !emoEek . Fished another two hours without a bite. Headed home at dark. My best 5 ended up right around 16lbs and some change. I have some decent pictures if someone can resize them for me.
