The river is in great shape nice and green, the fishing however was a little slow. We only landed one and we each had another one get off. We saw a few other fish being caught but everyone we talked to reported it being slow. A lot of people never touched a fish. Although we saw a few guys catch 3 or 4 fish each. I'll post a picture of my fish later. Oh and we fished the Rams Head, Lemhi, Arco, and Clam Holes. I got to it about 2:45 am and had some guys show up about 15 minutes later and could hear them talking how they were mad that I was there. I offered to let them fish by me but they just left. Kind of felt bad but that is how it works I guess. Made for a long day but the 3 fish were worth it. Saw a few more fish caught but most people said Saturday was a slow day. The weather was pretty typical for this time of year, one second it was a light drizzle, then huge snow flakes, and then a little bit of sun shine. It was fun getting out and having my son with me. He didn't want to come home. I actually had to surrender before he did! [signature] Re: [wormsinker] salmon river - kjandb - 03-20-2011 We fished from 11 mile to Shoup bridge and landed 3...the biggest was 32 inches (hatchery). All were caught Friday...Saturday was wet and slow. [signature] Re: [kjandb] salmon river - sloppyjoe - 03-22-2011 My buddy and I got to get up yesterday (Sunday) and fished until Monday. We only landed 3 on Sunday, and fished around Rams Head. Then Monday we landed 12 and fished just up from Panther Creek. On Monday we hooked into an additional 12 that we either got right to shore and lost or only had on for a few seconds. My biggest was a 29" hatchery female, and my buddy landed a heavy ~34" wild male, along with a ~31" wild female. We didn't measure either of his big ones but did measure mine, and his were both considerably bigger. All in all it was a good trip, would have been better if we would have caught more on Sunday, but Monday made up for it.
