On Thursday while talking to F&G it was mentioned that Chesterfield was still pretty much iced over. There was some clearing where the creek comes in and also around the edges. That is information that is probably at least a week old by now.

As of last weekend it was roughly 1/3 gone. Anyway, that is according to a friend that drove up

I would bet it is ice free now . The wind the last 3 days will melt a lot of ice . Curt G.

As of Wednesday Ice is totally out but the water is getting murky. Fishing very slow Wednesday but I heard one guy say that Tues he couldn't keep em off the hook.

We were there monday the 25th had a hard time keeping the grass off our lures trolling. Didn't catch anything that day but it was better than sitting home.
