head out to the west desert or to the mountains away from all the poplular places. Find an area with a mound or hill behind where your targets will be so that you know you won't hit anything with a stray bullet. That would be my suggestion. Did this with my kids last year while we were camping using BB guns. It was a blast.[laugh]

I usually go to Skull Valley out near Tooele. One tip DO NOT bring any glass targets or junk to shoot. The rangers out there are relentless (for good reason) as there is already a lot of trash out there. I was shooting clay pigeons and steel targets and they were OK with that.
