tips for catching big panfish. - stripermagnet - 08-06-2011 Tip #1-if u can use clams use clams Tip#2- the big panfish are in the 3 to 7 ft range Tip#3-use a size 4 or 6 hook( i use eagle claw hooks.) Tip#4-bobbers set to 8 to 12 inches above the hook for big panfish Tip#5-have fun! Increase the jig length from 1-1 1/2 to 2 inches. Works great for other sexiest too such as bass. I have caught largemouth bass while fishing for green sunfish.
