Where are all the Bass ponds??? - WrothDonkey - 08-26-2011

Hi everyone!

I haven't had much luck this year with catching Bass besides Whites at UL. I would really appreciate if you guys could help me out with some locations of bass filled ponds around the Valley that hold Bass.
I'm getting desperate and wouldn't mind a drive to catch a large mouth.

Thanks guys.

Lake Powell is a pretty good bass pond. So is Flaming Gorge. If you want something closer try Jordanelle, Deer Creek, Pineview, Utah Lake, or Starvation.

Yup - kinda depends on what "Valley" you mean. Farther north - Willard and Pineview have some nice smallmouth, Hyrum, Newton, Mantua - good for largemouth.
Cutler/Bear River - the mystery continues!!!

If you're going West - Pelican is rumored to be good for Gills and Bass.

I hadn't caught a bass in some 20 years since I was a kiddun' till last spring - we got on 'em at Mantua - and it was a blast to float right on top of beds and see them in (stubborn) action!

Good luck - and as they say in Sci Fi - "They're out there!"
