Suggestions for 1/2 day Mountain/Uinta lake? - TheWeekender - 09-09-2011 Hey Everyone, Im looking for some suggestions for a fishing lake in the big/little cottonwood canyons/ uintas. Haven't made it up to any mountain lakes yet. Looking for a lake that i can get to and do some fishing this weekend. Half day trip, lake with a short hike as i will have the wifey with me and my 30lb. 3yr. old in the hiking pack on my back. If anyone has been to any of the mountain lakes recently or can give me some advice id appreciate it. Thanks Jason [signature] Re: [TheWeekender] Suggestions for 1/2 day Mountain/Uinta lake? - MarineSpear - 09-09-2011 K so I honestly was just going to post " CATCH ALOT OF FISH" cause of the post title But that would not be constructive... So I won't... Though I will say my buddy just got back from a trip to the uintas and said that pistol petes were killing the trout up there. Just figure in case that help. Either way be safe have fun and good luck! [signature] Re: [TheWeekender] Suggestions for 1/2 day Mountain/Uinta lake? - Uintaman - 09-10-2011 Cathrine Lake in Big Cottonwood, up from Brighton. Got up to lake mary on sunday. Started to set up the poles, then the thunder clouds came in and it started to rain. Didn't get any fishing in but the scenery was amazing and we saw a bunch of deer and a moose. Was a good little hike. I will have to get some more hiking in before the cold sets in. [signature] |
