The Best Time of Year... - the_cactus_kid - 10-09-2011
...is this time of year, when pretty much everything is open season. While looking for upland birds yesterday morning, I spotted a small pond that held some ducks. I didn't realize duck season was open until I got home and checked the regs. So I went back this morning, and got a nice double before church:

Nice!!! I too am going to endulge on the various opens seasons of Idaho starting Wednesday and ending on sunday. I am starting with deer and ending with pheasants, with possibly a turkey and a duck or too in the middle. O, and I am taking my fishing pole too. 5 days of outdoors can't wait...........

Well.... just got back from being a farmer and doing a little hunting in idaho for a work week.. Ended up shooting a 3 point with the rifle after passing on a crap load of little 2 points and blowing a few stalks with the bow. Did a little pheasant hunting too.
Didn't chase any waterfowl and would have gotten a small jake but i didn't end up getting a tag.
Defienetly be back for some bird hunting.
