Currant Creek Help - cwoodson - 10-20-2011

I have to go fish Currant Creek this weekend because they changed my class from the Green River to Currant Creek for some reason. I havent fished it much in the last fews years but i never have had alot of success with the fly rod there! I was wondering if anyone could help me out with any advice for Currant Creek, thanks i appreciate it.

Assuming you're talking about the creek and not the res, it's much smaller than the Green (obviously). I would suggest a 3 or 4wt if possible. You're largely going to be catching cutthroat. Some of my favorite cutt flies are sowbugs and prince nymphs with a stimulator on top. Can't really go wrong with an Adam's either. In general, just go smaller than you would the Green. Good luck and post a report.
