Devils Creek ice? - toadly - 01-26-2012

Thinking of hitting Devels Creek or Deep Creek this weekend. Does anyone know if the edges are safe?

This is the time of year when Tip #2 comes in handy.

I alway bring a plank. Just asked if anyone knew if the edges are in reach.
Thanks for the advice.

It kind of depends on how much water came in with the last rain/snow we had. It has raised many of the reservoir levels and made for unsafe edges. The only one I have actually looked at was Hawkins.

There are a few more reports from others on this post. http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gforum/gforum.cgi?post=717438;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;page=unread#unread

I prefer a ladder. Over a plank. The problem is you have to walk across, rather then up. Snowing in Malad. Nice three inches. When I was there. I would bet, the fishing at Devils is Gr8. I have noticied after the derby and 300 people on devils that is the place to be.

My father-in-law and I fished it on Saturday and you could get on. We went out off the point and you had to take one big step in a spot we found and a little water at first but not bad. We iced 7 in a couple of hours. There were only two other groups. They walked across the boat dock. They still had to walk through water for a couple of feet.
