It could not have been any nicer today. I guess I had a little bad luck with a few big bass getting away, but it was too nice to care that much.<br /><br />I hooked what I believe was a pig smallmouth downriver, and it made a hard run downriver on me and hung me up on the bottom. I had one other spit the hook and landed a nice one. No spots wanted to play in the construction. It was amazing seeing the current spill out of the dam. It was definitely a choppy ride upriver.<br /><br />All fish were caught/lost on gizzard shad/threadfin shad. I also cast netted a couple big shellcrackers.<br /><br />I left the cat rods in the truck as I really didn&#39;t want to mess with anchoring 85,000! I was going to stay and fish longer but got a 2nd call from the lady! That was my cue to leave.<br /><br />Can&#39;t beat this February weather!
