[signature] Re: [curt69] Island Park Res. - flyfishingfool - 02-16-2012 When I was there last week I used my hand auger and had to get on my knees to go all the way through. What a pain in the butt that was. I ended up just using some other peoples old holes that were pretty fresh. Much easier than drilling through all that ice! That is unusual for me . Normally they are shallow . Curt G. Pink n white paddle bugs? [signature] Re: [Bmarsh] Island Park Res. - curt69 - 02-16-2012 Most fish were caught on PinK Paddle Bugs . The bite is very soft , most were caught on Jigger Totters . Curt G. [signature] Re: [curt69] Island Park Res. - water-walker - 02-16-2012 Curt next time go over to lakesid we got 13 . Five were in the 2# class the rest were 12 to 15" . 1" yellow jig with sucker meat worked best. Jigging didn't seem to help just fished 2' off the bottom 15 to 20' of water. [signature] Re: [water-walker] Island Park Res. - curt69 - 02-17-2012 Thanks for the report . I was at lake Side two weeks ago . It as pure hell , 16" of snow and 10" of water on top of the ice . How thick is the ice over there ? Curt G. [signature] Re: [curt69] Island Park Res. - water-walker - 02-17-2012 There was no slush easy walking 4" of snow on 2 1/2' feet of ice. We saw nobody else fishing at all this was friday. We just walked to where the fuel station is for boat then the next little cove north of that 8 to 15' of water . sucker meat ruled over nightcrawlers/meal warms /minnows. [signature] |
