Porcupine Res Lake Bottom Contour Map - flyhunt - 02-27-2012
Ever wondered what the bottom of Porcupine Res looked like? If you have Google Earth installed on your computer, just double click this file. These contours were measured when the reservoir was emptied in 1998 and I recently had to digitize them so I figured I'd post them. I know I'm going to find me a good coord for some structure next time I go.

The trick will be having enough line on your pole to get down to the structure once u find it
its 140 feet deep in some spots I have ice fished this year. Of course that's down on the dam. I would like to check out your maps tho thanks for sharing.[signature]

I tried to download a file to open it twice and all I got some kind computer scan, with them trying bto sell me something to fix the problem. Hopefully this link that you posted will direct me to the right site, once you fix it, thanks.

Ok, I figured it out, there was an extra dot at the end of the link. What are all the red marks/dots on some of the contour lines.

if u zoom in they are the contour elevations, the blue lines are where the streams flowed when the lake was empty. The contours basically go straight up from the perimeter shown (I had to minimize because the file was too big)

orange is 1ft contour interval, green is 5ft contour interval. this map is very accurate both vertically and horizontally and jfyi the high water elevation is 5383
