hung out at Hale's Bar marina for the weekend to celebrate my brother's birthday. we watched the flag pole at ship's store for two days, which was constantly waving high and strong. despite the white caps, we made a couple of futile attempts. i tried fishing in and around the marina at night after the wind settled down to no avail. we were finally able to fish Monday; what a beautiful day this time of year. we caught a lot of small fish and had a about three that would measure. I have another "one that got away" story with no photo proof but two witnesses; looked like she could have went 5 to 6 lb -- a very pale bass, she must have been deep for some time. stuck her on a drop from six to eighteen feet next to the old dam. looks like I'm back to my old self. happy birthday adam.
