&quot;Hey Dave&quot; and myself launched Ol Scratched II for a crappie hunt out of HBSP approximately 7:30 AM...the lake level was 676.3 (low and gettin lower-we did witness a 35-45&#39; cruiser a ground just out of entrance to HBSP, one of the tow oufits was attempting the pull), current 44K...all were concerned as where on the ramp to put in...wind was calm early, continued to 5-8 mph with gusts by mid afternoon...water temp was 49-51 depending on location...<br />We tried a few docks with limited success, then on to blowdowns, back to docks, river structure and sloughs...Hippy had the big fish of the day...13 1/4&quot;...sorry no pix...our count was mixed with shorts and keepers...Hippy took home nine (9) keepers...chartreuse was the color of choice...Hippy did give the the bluegill/bream the dickens for attacking his rig...<br />During the day we ran across Korngrinder and his new rig...Congrats are in order...he fished with us for while until he was summoned by his pilot for the rest of the afternoon...we were joined by Groomer and his lovely wife for a few minutes later in the day...then we were blessed with WTK and Dave East...they were on the hunt as well...didn&#39;t stay long...and they were off...all in all really enjoyed the day on the water.<br />Looking forward to Winter Crappie TX this coming Saturday...ya&#39;ll come fish with us.<br />Headed to the barn round 4 PM.
